[Gossip] Lindsay Lohan Tried to Talk a Guy Into Spending $20,000 On Her

Lindsay Lohan may not be rolling in the money lately, but that's not stopping her from going after the things she wants. Lindsay tried to talk a guy into buying a $20,000 watch for her at the amfAR Gala auction Wednesday night.

Witnesses say that Lindsay saw and recognized a "wealthy Canadian financier" nearby and walked over to talk him up. Soon after she sent an assistant over once the auction began, who did Lindsay's dirty work.

"There were items being auctioned for $20,000," said a source. "After chatting with the businessman, Lindsay sent over an assistant, who said, ‘Lindsay would very much like it if you'd bid on this item as a gift.'" The man apparently then cracked up laughing in response and the auction went to someone else.

Lindsay told other guests that she was at the gala because of her role as Elizabeth Taylor--herself an amFAR donor--in the upcoming Lifetime movie.
